DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this is to continuously monitor production outputs, concentrate quality conformance and optimise process efficiencies in line with the plant capacity and sound processing principles.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with B&E Health & Safety responsibilities.
• Ensure that process activities including all aspects of metallurgical accounting are integrated, coordinated and managed.
• Comply with provided systems, practices, methods, standards and procedures of the designated mine site.
• Ensure adherence to the specified process parameters within the respective sections of the process plant.
• Provide support and advise to Plant Engineer/Management.
• Carry out plant optimization initiatives on the plant and present reports with findings as part of a continuous improvement culture within the company.
• Conduct cost improvement initiatives and implement actions where required.
• Ensure adherence to quality requirements by monitoring laboratory feedback and ensuring the required remedial interventions are implemented.
• Compilation of Project Budget.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• 10 years' experience in a processing environment of which at least 18 to 24 months should be as a Metallurgist.
• PGM, Chrome experience.
• English language proficiency.
• Computer Literate in MS Office.
• Presentation Skills.
• Time management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Employee Relations and People management skills.
• TEAM Player.
• Process Engineering Simulation software.
